Back In

Yesterday wasn't the best day eating-wise, but it wasn't the worst, either. Back in, gradually. Meals were fine, great even; but I ended up snacking more than usual for some reason. I'm hoping today will be better on that front.

The scale was kind, down .2 pounds to put me at 318.8. I'm happy with this. Feeling much less bloated today, too, so that's good. I can foresee a downward trend for myself this week if I just set my mind to it, and I think I have. (Sometimes it's hard to tell, isn't it?) Overall, I feel pretty good with lots of things cooking on the back burner. My brain is sort of all over the place.

Which probably means that I should at least track my food today and see how that goes.

I know, not very interesting today, but you know what? I could really use some cheers! So if you are reading this, I would really appreciate an encouraging word. Seriously. Thanks in advance.

xoxo

  1. I find tracking my food REALLY helps - do it! (ok - I don't do it often, but when I'm on a downward [read:upward on the scale] spiral it helps!). As for encouraging - I think your blog is great...I've gone through and read quite a few of your past posts as well as the forty project...I think you're amazing! Good job on your success thus far and continue the good work!

  2. Hi Amy,

It seems you've been struggling a lot lately, not just with actions but with words, not sounding motivated or positive, and not really feeling the blog love. I know it is easy to get caught up in life and exciting plans and let go of progress and healthy actions, but you can do it! Going back to tracking is good! What about going back to the C25K program? You seemed so positive and happy with your progress when you were doing that last year, I hope you find something similar to inspire you on all fronts -- food, mood, exercise. Best of luck.

  3. I was reading about intuitive eating (which I don't think I'm quite ready for yet) and came across an interesting idea.

As you know ie puts more emphasis on why you eat, rather than what/when/cals you eat, but I like that it inherently allows for "getting off track" (as it may be), and instead, observe yourself and your behavior as if you were an outsider, and use that information later on.

I don't know about you, but I sure like the idea that my screw ups can be a positive thing (because they're inevitably going to happen) :)
